This video demonstrates how an inflamed Meckel's diverticulum, encountered during a diagnostic laparoscopy for right abdominal pain, can be resected laparoscopically.

The camera is positioned in the left-inferior quadrant and the authors position the stapler at the level of the umbilicus. Using a linear stapler, the authors pay close attention during bowel resection to avoid creating bowel stenosis or occlusion. They place the resected diverticulum in a retrieval bag and perform copious lavage of the abdominal cavity.
